We are pleased to announce that Dr. Federica Caruso, member of the ATES@AQ research group, presented our latest work at Mis4TEL 2025 – the 15th International Conference on Methodologies and Intelligent Systems for Technology Enhanced Learning, held at the Université de Lille from June 25 to 27, 2025.
The presented paper, titled “GameDev MentorHub: An ‘on-the-job’ TEL Environment for Video Game Developers”, is the result of a collaborative effort between Federica Caruso, Tania Di Mascio, Sara Peretti, and Maria Chiara Pino.
The research introduces GameDev MentorHub, an innovative Technology-Enhanced Learning (TEL) environment tailored for professionals in the video game industry. The system integrates continuous, workplace-based learning with awareness-raising on Gaming Disorder risks, particularly among adolescent players. This dual focus aims to support game developers in making ethically sound and socially responsible design choices, while remaining embedded within their daily workflow.
By merging educational innovation with public health concerns, GameDev MentorHub represents a step forward in aligning game development practices with digital wellbeing and responsible design.
